The Talbiyah (The Call of the Pilgrimage)
Continuously recited from the moment of entering Ihram until the stoning of Jamarat al-Aqabah on Eid al-Adha
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Transliteration
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayk la sharika laka labbayk, innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika lak.
Meaning
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Indeed, all praise, favour, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.
Virtue
The response of the Muslim to the call of Ibrahim, who was commanded by Allah to call mankind to the pilgrimage. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whichever Muslim says the Talbiyah, every stone and tree to his right and left says it too.'
