“When the help of Allah and the conquest comes.”
The conquest is Fath Makkah, the bloodless opening of the city that had persecuted the Prophet ﷺ for thirteen years. The help belongs to Allah, not to armies.

Overview
The final complete surah revealed to the Prophet ﷺ. It announces the coming victory and the entry of people into Islam in throngs, then commands not celebration but glorification, praise and seeking forgiveness. Ibn ʿAbbas understood it as the quiet notice of the Prophet's ﷺ approaching death.

Occasion of Revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul)
Connected with the conquest of Makkah in 8 AH and the mass entry of Arabian tribes into Islam. When it was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ understood it as a sign that his mission was complete and his return to Allah was near. He lived only a short period afterwards.
